
Imagine a Reese’s peanut butter cup in brownie form. That’s how delicious these chocolate peanut butter brownies with cocoa powder are. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is just delicious and this recipe is so easy! No need for a fancy mixer!

INGREDIENTS
Chocolate Layer | Wet Ingredients 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 large eggs 1 cup granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Dry Ingredients 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/8 teaspoon salt | |
Peanut Butter Layer | Wet Ingredients 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter 1/3 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed) 1 large egg 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Dry Ingredients 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/8 teaspoon salt |
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper
- Spray lining with non-stick cooking spray
Step 2
Melt butter for chocolate layer in a medium sized bowl. Add wet ingredients (sugar, vanilla and eggs) and mix well. Fold in the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa and salt).

Step 3
Melt butter for peanut butter layer in a medium sized bowl. Add wet ingredients and mix well. Fold in the dry ingredients stirring until just mixed.

Step 4
Layer peanut butter mixture on the bottom of pan. Top with the chocolate mixture.

Step 5
Bake at 350 degrees for 22 minutes. The center will still be soft, but will set while cooling.
