Comments: I love your site. It helped me decide to choose this
wonderful dog. My son and I have allergies to dogs and after reading all
of your information I fell in love with this breed. Problem is, I'm
trying to find a breeder as close to me as possible. I live in Bucks
CO., PA (just outside of Philadelphia). Can anyone help in my search?
Sincerely, Kim

Comments: Hi Lucy, I want to thank your momma for such a great
website with good information on American Hairless Terriers. We have an
American Hairless that we kinda of rescued from a breeder in North
Carolina where we live. The breeder was selling about 5 different kinds
of dogs and when we visited he really wanted us to buy a puppy. But I
saw an older Hairless in the corner and asked about her. He said she
wasn't up to his breeding standards. But she was up to our "loving"
standards so we took Tweetsie home with us and love her dearly. That was
2 years ago and I don't know what we would have done without your
website full of valuable information. Tweetsie did have surgery (FHO) on
her right hip but it healed nicely and she runs like the wind. We hope
to visit some of the American Hairless dog shows for fun. My husband and
I enjoy watching Tweetsie try to play with our elderly dog "Domino", a
toy fox terrier. By bringing Tweetsie home, it made Domino become a
little livelier. Thank again Lucy. You are a beautiful dog and I have
learned so much from your mom. Regards, Bennie Wheeler (an old nurse in
Boone, North Carolina)

Comments: GREAT resource! Some of our clients also suffer from
allergic reactions to dogs and have complained about not being able to
have a canine companion. I now have a website for them to visit.
Thanks!!!

Comments: I am desperate for a dog! My husband is severely allergic.
Can you recommend any good, reliable breeders we can contact? We live in
New Jersey. Lucy is absolutely adorable as is this whole breed. I
thought about the poodle, but I really didn't want one. I just think
these dogs are so adorable. I hope you can help! Thanks, Cathy

Comments: Thank you so much for this website!! I had been
researching dogs for at least 6 months to find the perfect dog to suit
both my husband's and my personalities and our allergy situation. I
found a fantastic breeder from your site, and contacted them and will soon be the happy owner of
an all black AHT. Thanks again for providing
information on this wonderful breed.

Comments: Thanks so much for having this website! I had been
researching for several months to find the perfect dog to fit both my
husband's and my lifestyles. I was interested in Chinese-Cresteds, until
I realized that they have major dental problems. Just when I was about
to give up on ever finding a hairless dog that didn't have major health
problems, I found the AHT.

comprehensive websites I have seen about hairless terriers. You
obviously put a lot of work into it, nice job. If you ever need to find
a vet near where you live, check out the Animal Hospital directory at
