I just wanted to say Hello to Lucy, we visited her websight before we got our scooby and got hooked! Loved your Grand Canyon pictures. Scooby is also the star of our neighborhood!

I love my hairless dog. when I was about 9, Scottie gave me one because she was bow legged and could not be bred. I named her Bambie. Now I have a new little boy named KoJack. He's adorable and I love him. Hairless dogs are the BEST kind to have.

I love all dogs, but if I had to say what my fav was, it would be the chihuahua, I have a teacup male and miniture female, they love children of all ages and can be just as protective as my 100 pound Boxer. They also get along wonderfully with him. I'm looking forward to seeing more photos of Lucy and others like her.

Comments: Hi! I am so glad that my husband found your site! We are a family of 5, 3of which are allergic to EVERYTHING. I have had allergies since the age of 2 and my daughters are following in my footsteps. Although I have had dogs, I have learned that there are some breeds I cannot deal with at all! The same is true for my girls. We own a collie mix right now that lives outside because we can't breathe if he's been in the house. My husband and I are currently searching for a dog that we can all live with. Our first step is the wheaten terrier. We are visiting a local breeder this weekend to spend some time with her dogs. Hopefully, all is well. If not, we have a list that we will begin narrowing down. I found your page full of usefull information regarding breeds and allergies. The most useful was the comments that has been posted by readers. I am learning that everyone's allergies are different. I have read in the comments about people's varied reactions to the same breed and find it very encouraging. It just means that we will have to keep looking - eventually I'm sure we will find a house dog for our family!

Comments: Loved your site. I didn't even know hairless terriers existed! They are adorable! I live in Alaska and don't really think they'd be able to live here in our extreme cold winter. What do you think? 20 below zero would be pretty harsh for a AHT to go outside to go potty. Give me your feedback on that one! Thx.

Comments: Love your AHT! Where can I find a breeder? Have been breeding Miniature Schnauzers for ten years and am sick of all the grooming. Have been looking at Chinese Cresteds but am dismayed at the dental problems. I used to own a Miniature Rat Terrier when I was a teen and we loved her. One of the best dogs I ever owned. I am very excited to learn about this breed. Please help me find more.

Comments: Hi, I have a niece who can't have any pets because of her allergies and asthma. Then someone told me that there are two kinds of dogs that don't have hair. So I checked into it and found your website. They are very cute and I would like to see if she might be able to have one of these. Her allergies a VERY bad, but she would do anything for a dog! She has been told that she can never have one, but I would like her to be able to possibly see one. Could you please let me know what whould be the nearest place or what our options might be? Also, how much do these dogs cost? I would really appreciate any information that you could give me. Thank you, Patty Robinson

It is a little cold in Minnesota during the Winter, but my mom makes nice warm sweaters to snuggle in. Do you like sleeping under the covers? That is my favorite place to sleep. It was really neat to see your home page. You are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your pictures. Maybe one day all three of us will be on the web. Take care, Buddy, Annie and Koko

Comments: Thank you for such a wonderful website. Sweet Lucy fits her name to a "t". We are now considering an AHT in search for our new family menber. I was looking at the chinese crested, but was a little weary of the health problems. My wife thinks your dog is much cuter. My son and I both suffer from dog allergies, and it is tough being the reason we don't have a dog. I am trying to find a breeder in the western PA area. Once again thank you for the introduction to a wonderful breed, and to your little Sweet Lucy !

Comments: Hi! This site was the first site that launched my interest in the AHTs. The site provides so much valuable information and encouragement for those of us who have severe allergic reactions to dogs. After investigating the AHT thoroughly, we acquired Kisses in early 2001 and then Hershey later that same year. They are simply wonderful and the 3 of us who are allergic to dogs in the home have no reaction whatsoever. Hershey and Kisses had their first litter on 11/25/02 and I have created on online photo album for them at www.picturestage.com USER ID: cinbad PASSWORD: 6ahtpups Contact information is posted on the site and provided below: Bruce and Cindy Stewart Ravenna, OH 44266 330-297-9085 brucin@config.com Thank you for providing such an excellent introduction to the AHTs. We would have missed so much if we had not found your site.

Comments: I wanted to thank you for your wonderful website. I have always been severly allergic to dogs, and wasn't really into poodles, so I never thought I could own one. Well, last year I started doing research on different dog breeds for allergy sufferers, came across yours, and that was all I needed! I did extensive research on several breeds, finally deciding I wanted a Soft-coated Wheaten terrier. Then I looked and looked for a breeder with pups to no avail. Finally, after months and much research online (including a search for photos of ungroomed wheatens--I knew a 'shelter'dog wouldn't be all groomed and pretty!) I finally found a wonderful 'wheatie' at our local shelter. Charlie has been a part of the family for 2 months now, and we are looking for a sister for him! Your site is concise, well organized, interesting to peruse, and full of great links and other info--keep up the good work! And thank you!! Susan

Comments: Help, I have a dog that is indeed hairless which I got from our local rescue centre. She is hairless supposedly due to stress. We have had her about 3 months and she hasn't grown any hair. My problem is with her smell. She smells like a pig. (no joke) Is there something that I could give her to take the smell away. I can bath her every other night but it only lasts a few hours. Help me please. She is a beautiful pup very kind and gentle.
